Nothing.. absolutely nothing in this world would have me writing again except . - this beautiful Mausam, the soft drops of first rains drizziling through the window, sometimes (when i'm in a good mood ONLY) onto my face too :))
So my dear munchkins, I'm sure all of us have fond memories of lovely monsoons, some of us even may have the same.. So here are some things I remember / love during the misty monsoons..
>> The fresh smell of Dharti Maa... sweet sweet mitti ki khushboo when the shower of rain happens.. makes me wanna eat it.. Not literally!.. you know what I mean!!
>> When you're sitting down with your legs up , at your best spot in your house/office/holiday home/ tree house wherever... with a clear view of the beautiful pearl drops from the sky.. soft breeze.. and an unlimited supply of Hot cuppa Chai.. aaaahhhh.. of course even better if you dont have to keep running to the kitchen to make it yourself by which time the rain wud have either stopped and it'll be all humid OR its just little short of becoming a thunderstorm and you have to shut your window /door and the moment is completely ruined.. Psssttt.. Happens with me ALL THE TIME!!
>> A walk in the park.. Cliched.. I know.. But isnt it lovely?? Holding hands with your baby / honey/ apple pie / Big Daddy..err.... whatever you call him!!! wearing nothing on your feet except the wet feel of the soft grass... stop by to have some nariyal paani... or some hot pakode and samose.. whispering sweet nothings into each others wet ears.. only when its not abt the house loan, or car dent, or a cranky boss!!
>> A good girly time with all your bitches with some old fashoined juicy gossip.. aahh.. it cudnt get any better.. with girl-friends.. no topic is off the line.. be it the boss's daughter's fashion faux pas.. or the latest blog on the block... or cribbing about whose hair gets most affected by the rains.. Aaaaaah Pure Evil Fun!!!
>> You can soo not go wrong with a ROM-COM in this seksyy mausam.. Some that I lourve.. and can watch like a zillion times over -

- Bridget Jones Diary -now how many of us relate to her screwed up luck eh?? -(meekly raising my own hand) I DO :@
- Kate & Leopold - Come on.. We girls are suckers for this absolute dude-ish knight who is so bloody charming that you would wanna lock him up in your closet; lest he escapes or fades away (since its only a dream).. and the LOVE LETTER.. Oh mi lord.. who writes such stuff except clinically depressed or perpetually+single+women+repellent kinda fictional writers.. Can a real living Husband / boyfriend be as yummy in this day n age.. Didn't think so!!
P.S - Or is it just me whose never met them??
- Kuch Kuch Hota Hai - Ahh .. the love of my life.. Shah Rukh smokin Khan!! and K-Jo's gem of a line- 'Kuch kuch hota hai anjali.. tum nahi samjhogi' Uff.. I thank God to have put me down on earth just in time to fall in love with this heartthrob.. Naam toh hi suna hoga!!
....and Ive cried sheepishly to many more such cinematic wonders which transports us to this dreamy dreamland where ALL Men are Hot who one keeps bumping into all the time, Hair is always perfect, Always wearing our fav brands, Its always springtime, One could just walk to the office smilling at random strangers on the way with the fav choco latte in the hand, everywhere you look there are blooming flowers, the house is always spanking clean, the meals we cook are delicious to look at and TO EAT.. the maids are always on time.. Oh wait a minute.. I think just woke up to my boring life!!
Well. these are a few of my favorite things ... come to think of it.. actually rains or no rains.. I just love all these things...And Im sure you do too.. Wud love to knw some of your lovelies too!!
